A thought crossed through my mind a few days ago that somehow I rarely post about beauty boxes that I’m subscribed to. I used to do that all the time in the past! I’ll try to change that with this Petit Vour Beauty Box review. It’s their first box of this year – the January 2021 Beauty Box. This beauty box contains 4 items (although one item is a set, so there are technically 5 items inside). Let’s talk about them one by one, shall we? EVANHEALY OIL + WATER BALANCING CALMING RITUAL $10
This is a set of two products that I mentioned before. The first product is the Rose Geranium Facial Tonic HydroSoul (30ml), 100% organic rose geranium hydrosol. It is gentle, skin refreshing, and toning.
The second bottle in the set is the Rosehip Treatment Facial Serum (4ml). The Treatment contains a mix of organic oils such as organic rosehip seed oil, rose geranium oil, jojoba oil, and some essential oils. It is an extremely rich and nourishing blend that leaves the skin nourished and radiant, and satin-like. Although it is a tiny bottle, you only need a small drop for the whole face, so it will last at least 8-10 applications.
INKLING SCENTS GOSAMMER PERFUME 5ml / $15
With floral notes of pink peony, freesia, magnolia, lily, rose, and some deeper cedarwood and amber notes, the Gosammer is a sweet and feminine perfume. The last time I wore perfume was, like, 4 years ago, so it took some time to get accustomed to the lasting scent, and I kept sniffing my hand constantly. The perfume is way too sweet for my liking, but it feels good quality, and I like the idea of the roll-on bottle.
THE SEAWEED BATH CO EXFOLIATING DETOX BODY SOAP 106g / $8
OK, so when I received the PV beauty box, the first thing I did was I read the product card. It said that I’ve received The Seaweed Bath Co Purifying Detox Facial Bar. Well, after that, I somehow skipped reading the product packaging and thought, “wow, this facial soap bar smells like coffee; I can’t wait to try it!” Then I saw huge words CELLULITE on the packaging, and it became clear that it was definitely not the face bar I was expecting. Well, I’m still excited about this soap since I’ve finished up my last body exfoliant and needed a new one. And this one smells divine, so I’m excited to give it a try.
SERAPHINE BOTANICALS LYCHEE / GINGER + GOLD HEALTHY GLOW BLUSH (3g / $14)
This blush is adorable with its neutral medium pink color with a subtle gold shimmer, with gold actually disappearing when applied to the skin. Though I suspect it will sparkle when exposed to the sun, I am not into sparkly blushes, so we’ll see how it goes.
So the overall value of this beauty box comes to $47, which is great, considering you pay more than half of the price. Was this month’s box mind-blowing? Not really, there definitely were some other PV boxes that stood out more, but the products from Evanhealy and The Seaweed Bath Co impressed me.
Can’t wait for the next one.
