The packaging of all the products is beautiful! Little beige and gold pots and tubes look super appealing to the eye. What I also like a lot is that all these kits come in many different shades instead of the usual “light, medium, dark.” The shade I chose is W2 IVORY, which is a perfect match for my light skin.
The Complexion Essentials Starter Kit contains:
Perfecting Primer (15ml) – I’m in love with this primer! A primer rarely feels hydrating because most of them strive to mattify the skin. This one, on the other hand, feels very comfortable on the skin, but it also does its job very well. I feel like my foundation (or even a CC cream) glides on the skin more effortlessly and stays in place longer. Also, it smells delicious. Definitely recommending this one.
Radiant Loose Powder Foundation (4g) – honestly, I’m not a big fan of powder foundations other than to use them as setting powders. 9 out of 10 times, they are too cakey and too drying for my skin, so I just stick with liquid/cream or, even better, with BB/CC creams. I’ve tried this powder foundation at least three times, but with no different results. I love using it sparingly and lightly as a setting powder for some of my problematic areas (such as my nose or forehead), but I just prefer not to use it for my whole face.
Perfecting Concealer (2ml) – another love! Maybe because its shade is such a good match for my skin, but it works wonders. The consistency is really thick, so it’s important not to overdo it. Another thing is it’s better to tap into your skin with fingers instead of rubbing it in with a brush (I believe this works better with most concealers). This way, it’s less noticeable and just gives better results.
Natural Glow Loose Bronzer (1.5g) in color Bondi Bronze. I adore this little pot and its satin texture, however, the color is just too warm for my skin tone. One of the best parts of this bronzer is that it contains NO GLITTER whatsoever. I think you probably know how hard it is to find a radiance-enhancing bronzer without glitter. This is the one, guys. It’s also pigmented.
Translucent Loose Finishing Powder (1.5g) – works great, doesn’t dry my skin out. It has a creamy consistency.
Flawless Travel Brush and Make-Up Case – to be honest, these two were the unnecessary parts of the kit, but I understand the reason why they were included – it’s a travel kit, after all. I did not find the brush the best, and the makeup case is too small for me to use.
So overall, I’m thrilled with this Complexion Essentials Starter Set. I use all the products, minus the bronzer (which will get a lovely home soon), and a makeup case. Well done, Nude By Nature! I’ll be definitely trying your other products in the future.
The Starter Kit is available at Feelunique, Debenhams (UK) and Nude By Nature (CA) for $50/£39.
Have you tried any products from Nude By Nature?
They are currently doing a deal where you get a free primer with the purchase of any 2 products. I have to try the concealer!
