New month, new Love Lula Beauty Box review! Though previous boxes were excellent, December Beauty Box* really blew my mind away. Maybe because I was eyeing one of the products added in this box for a long time or maybe simply because the value of the products is way way wayyy over the price you pay for the beauty box. Anyway, here’s what was included:
Beauty Brews Poise Strawberry & Ginger Organic Tea [50g, full size] $14 / £11.50
There are 9 teas in Beauty Brews organic tea collection and the one I’ve received in Love Lula December box was called Poise. Poise is an organic tea, which comes in a pretty tin and smells absolutely amazing! It contains ingredients such as apple, cinnamon, ginger, strawberry and even black paper – a spicy and warming mix that stimulates and refreshes. Loving it!
Ingredients: Apple Bits*, Rooibos*, Ginger Bits* (10%), Raspberry Leaves*, Cinnamon*, Fennel*, Camomile Blossoms*, Orange Peels*, Natural Flavouring, Cloves*, Black Pepper*, Cardamom*, Cornflower Blossoms*, Strawberry Bits* (1%). *from Organic Sources.
Balm Balm Organic Parfum in Mandarin EDP [33ml, full size] $27 / £22
I’ve used Balm Balm Lavender perfume in the past, which left a great impression, so I’ve been eyeing other perfumes from this brand since then. And here arrives Love Lula’s December box with a full size (!) organic perfume from Balm Balm. You can imagine my joy! The perfume included in the box is called Mandarin, which is a fresh and vibrant citrus scent. Citrus always lifts my mood, energizes and, overall, has a very positive effect on me, so I’m excited to use it. One thing that I find fascinating about Balm Balm perfumes is that they’re single-note perfumes, so if you like simplicity, definitely check them out.
Ingredients: Citrus Nobilis, 100% Organic & Natural Grain Alcohol. Certified by Soil Association.
Madara Total Review Night Cream [generous 20ml sample] full size retails for $47 / £38
Another Madara product goes to my skincare collection, and I can’t wait to try this one out. Currently, I’m using these vegan and organic serums for my night-time routine, so I’ll keep this one for later. One of the ingredients in Total Renew Nigh Cream is birch juice. I noticed it because my grandmother is a big fan of birch juice, and she has always called it the “elixir of life”. Madara’s claims are as well very intriguing with promises to wake up to a hydrated and smoother skin just after 1 night of use. Well, I’ll be sure to share the results on the blog after I try it.
Ingredients: Betula Alba (birch) Juice Simmondsia Chinensis Squalane Glycerin Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride Dicaprylyl Carbonate Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate Cetearyl Alcohol Betaine Glyceryl Stearate Hippophae Rhamnoides Trifolium Pratense Galium Verum Alchemilla Vulgaris Vaccinium Myrtillus Equisetum Arvense Aesculus Hippocastanum Xanthan Gum Ascorbyl Palmitate Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline Benzyl Alcohol Aroma Aqua Chitin Beta-glucan Tocopherol Sodium Benzoate Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891) Zinc PCA Sodium Hyaluronate Potassium Sorbate CI 77288 (Iron Oxide) Sodium phytate Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid Limonene Linalool Eugenol Citral. ECOCERT Certified.
PHB Peppermint Sugar Scrub [100g, full size] $6 / £4.95
Another full size product I found in December box was PHB Handmade Sugar Scrub. At first glance, I thought this was a soap, because it comes in a beautiful paper box and has an oval shape. However, it’s not a soap, it’s a scrub and a very nice one. There are 6 scrubs with different scents in the PHB range, and the scent I received was Peppermint. Among the sugar (obviously), there’s also cocoa butter, cornflower petals (how pretty they look!), and peppermint oil. The scrub might seem harsh at first, but after it soaks a few seconds in warm water, it softens a little and becomes lovely to use.
Ingredients: Sucrose (Sugar), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa Butter), Centaurea Cyanus (Cornflower) Petals, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil. Occurs Naturally: *Limonene *Linalool.
John Masters Organics 100% Argan Oil [3ml, sample] full size $40 / £32.50
Last, but not least is John Masters Organics 100% Argan Oil – a multi-tasker that can be used for your skin and hair. I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m already fond of this tiny bottle with a pipette.
Ingredients: Argania spinosa (argan) oil* (100% certified-organic argan oil). USDA Certified.
Overall, the total value of this Love Lula December Beauty Box is over $74 / £60, which is crazy, because it’s 3 times the amount you pay for the box subscription. Sign up for your subscription here (UK or international!).
