Lavera Basis Sensitive range was created for all skin types, even the most sensitive ones. I have a reactive, sensitive skin with occurring redness, but I also like my skin to be cleaned thoroughly, which creates quite a dilemma here. Most gel or foam cleansers can be too drying or too harsh for sensitive skin, but Lavera Basis Sensitive Cleansing Gel promised to be gentle, yet refreshing and revitalizing, so I decided to give it a go. One of the reasons why I didn’t hesitate is because it has a rather decent price for a certified organic and vegan skincare product.
Like it says on the packaging, the product has a gel texture, which is a bit runny, but still thick enough to spread it evenly. The cleanser has a sweet herbal scent, but I can’t describe what exactly it smells like. It reminds me of anise somehow, if you have ever used any products from this Basis Sensitive range, you’ll know what I’m talking about. The gel is indeed gentle, but at the same time, it leaves my face fresh and clean without irritating it. Overall, I like it a lot. I don’t know if I’d be using this in colder season, just because my skin is crazy dry during winter, but it’s a perfect product for me at the moment. My only advice is that if you have a very dry skin, you should be looking into Lavera Cleansing Milk from the same range, but for other skin types – this gel is absolutely worth a try.
You can find Lavera Cleansing Gel and other products from its range online at TrueNatural, Naturisimo for $14/£6.95 for 125ml.
Do you like using cleansing gels in your skincare routine? Have you tried this Lavera gel?
Thank you for your review – I want to try a Lavera cleanser – I might opt for their cleansing milk first. Kate xx
