Despite trying a great deal of brands and skincare products, John Masters Organics is one of these natural beauty brands, I always come back to at one point or another. There are quite a few reviews on this brand on the blog, including this review of the delightful Antioxidant Day Cream* with rose and apricot. Noted, this last review was made 6 years ago, and even though I repurchased it a couple of times after, it’s been a couple of years since I last tried it. I remember it being a fantastic day cream for colder weather, and since we’re transitioning into Autumn fast, I thought why not try it again and see if my opinion has changed.
Starting with the packaging, I must say that it has only become sleeker and prettier. The bottle is still made from brown glass, but now it has a frosty look, which gives the product a much expensive feel. As far as I remember, the scent stayed the same – a delicate rose smell mixed with a tint of apricot. Speaking about the ingredients, they didn’t change much; it’s still loaded with natural antioxidants and extracts.
Because this Antioxidant Cream is so light in texture, I do believe that most skin types would benefit from it. Despite being lightweight, it has strong hydrating abilities that comfort the skin. It sinks into the skin in minutes, leaving it soft and prepped for makeup. I wish it would be less expensive (it retails for $29/£29 for 30ml), but I have to agree that it’s one of the nicest hydrating and calming moisturizers for the Fall season.
The Antioxidant Cream can be found at Love Lula (with free worldwide delivery) or at any other John Masters Organics stockists.
