If I could give one piece of advice to my 20-year-old self, it would be – don’t be afraid of acid exfoliators, my child! OK, maybe not it, but, in all truth, I wish I hadn’t been so scared of natural exfoliating acids in the past. Only now I see the benefits from the regular use of such skin care products. BUT. It took a long time to find the right product, suitable for my sensitive, reactive skin. So, here’s one of my favorite discoveries –
Evolve Organic Beauty Liquid Radiance Glycolic Toner. This toner comes in a dark glass bottle with a pump, which looks a lot like a spray, but it’s really just for getting the right amount out of the bottle.
The Glycolic Toner contains natural fruit AHA (glycolic acid from sugar cane, malic acid from apples, and citric acid from citrus fruits) and BHA (from willow bark extract). Both of these ingredients sound scary to someone with sensitive, redness-prone skin, but they gently work as exfoliants that eliminate dead skin cells and flaky skin. As a result, the skin looks fresh, renewed, and radiant.
I disperse the toner on my reusable cotton pad and just wipe my face with it. You wouldn’t believe how much dirt the toner picks up even after washing my face! I usually use it in the morning and then wash my face with water (although sometimes I don’t, my skin still feels ok) before following my usual skincare routine. I try to stay consistent but use it twice a week at the most. I know it was formulated gentle enough to be used daily, but I am cautious not to irritate my skin.

The main benefit that you can see instantly is brighter, more radiant, and softer skin. However, it also prevents the formation of blackheads and keeps pores cleaner. Also, it doesn’t let the buildup of dead skin occur, and this way, the skin doesn’t lose moisture and feels softer.
