Phyts Multi Effect Black Mascara Review

Phyts Organic Volume Mascara BlackPhyt’s is one of the favorite organic cosmetics brands in France, which has been a part of organic beauty world for more than 10 years. Phyt’s promises to use only 100% natural origin ingredients in their products and refuse using that 5% of chemical ingredients allowed by Cosmebio standards as an option. I had a chance to try some of their products, including its Liquid Foundation, but the Multi Effect Black Mascara is a product that I keep repurchasing over and over.

Phyt’s Multi Effect Black Mascara comes in an attractive bronze mascara tube. When I first received it, I was very surprised to find out that part of the container was made of recyclable paper. It also has a plastic tube underneath the paper. The mascara contains ingredients like jojoba and sunflower seed oils, which nourishes the lashes and gives a glamorous, lasting effect.

See the ingredients:

Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract*, Cera Alba (Beeswax)*, Acacia Senegal Gum*, Shellac, Glycerin (Vegetal), Glyceryl Stereate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Oleic/Linoleic Polyglycerides, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Candelilla Cera (Candelilla Wax), Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Glyceryl Rosinate, Octyldodecyl Myristate, Cichorium Intybus (Chicory) Root Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Cetearyl Alcohol, Tocopherol (Vegetal Vitamin E), Xanthan Gum, Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, CI77499, Silica. *ingredients of organic origin. 30% of ingredients are from organic farming. Certified by Ecocert and Cosmebio standards.

Compared to other organic mascaras I’ve tried until now, this is one of the best lengthening and volumizing mascaras. It might seem a bit runny at first, but don’t worry, it’s a sign of mascara being fresh. It gets a thicker consistency in a few uses or so. It has a dense brush with long bristles that let to apply mascara quick and easy. How to use: apply a coat on the tip of the lashes and let it dry. Then apply two coats of mascara with small zigzag moves to separate the eyelashes, be very careful not to leave too much mascara on the lashes. The zigzag move is what helps to create doll lashes without sticking them together. I’ve tested the mascara during bad weather, and it didn’t make me a panda, so I’m impressed with its lasting power as well.

Phyt’s Multi Effect Black Mascara:

The mascara is available online at Mondebio or other Phyt’s stockists for approximately $24/£19.66.

What is the ingredient that makes the black mascara black? I’m allergic to all mascaras that are in the stores because of the black dye. Thank you
