It seems that lately, I’ve been in luck finding great makeup products because every single one that I’ve tried has become my favorite so far. Take for example this Boho Volume & Green mascara, which impressed me from the first use. Boho is French natural beauty brand (its products, however, are made in Italy!), which advocates slow beauty. All of their products are 100% or 99% natural; however, I wish the products would contain more certified organic ingredients since this mascara has only 5%.
Boho mascara comes in a simple, green package, which screams “I am natural”. It has a wooden/bamboo look, but it’s actually made from recyclable cardboard material that makes it light to carry around. The mascara has a dense wand with short bristles, which surprised me by doing an excellent job in separating the lashes. The formula was a bit runny for the first few days, but after a few uses, it became normal – not too thick, not too runny.
This Volume & Green mascara keeps its promises and gives plenty of volume. It gives some length, too. However, because its bristles are so short and dense, don’t expect any curl with this mascara. I’ve tried but ended up with mascara stains all over my eyelids. If your lashes need curling as much as mine do, make sure you do that before application with an eyelash curler.
This is a water-based mascara, and even though it stays in place pretty much all day, a single drop of water makes it smudgy. So swimming and dancing in the rain are not the activities you should go for when wearing this particular mascara. This has its own benefits because the mascara is easy to wash off.
Boho Volume & Green Mascara in Black goes for approx. £10 for 6ml. (sadly, not available in the US).
Have you heard about Boho Cosmetics? Have you tried anything from its range?
This looks great – I’m not a massive fan of the packaging, but it’s nice to know it’s sustainably made. Will add to the wishlist for when my Green People mascara runs out!

You haven’t heard probably because it’s not available in the US. I live in Europe, but discovered it only recently as well. However, I’ll definitely be trying more in the future 🙂
It looks good! Your lashes look so long and nicely separated.
Thank you! I’m really impressed with this mascara.
Thanks for the intro to Boho. I can’t wait to try it!
You’re welcome! I’m glad it was useful.
The packaging looks very pretty! Sadly, I guess they can’t ship to my country =( Can you advice any other options which can be bought worldwide?
Have you tried Dr. Hauschka volume? It’s available at Naturisimo or Feelunique. Also, most Physician’s Formula OrganicWear are great too and are available at Iherb (I think it delivers to your country, but check if any customs fees will be applied).
I did not, but I’ve heard about those? Are they giving a lot of volume? I’m more of a volume rather than length person haha I’ll check those out! Thanks a lot!
