Each time I have a chance to try organic skincare from brands such as Antipodes, I’m totally fascinated. Either by their ability to create a product that loves and takes care of our skin. Or by the simplicity and beauty of the packaging and overall user experience you get from that product. Facial toners are not really the type of products that you usually get excited over. But like in all areas, there are exceptions. The Resurrect Clarifying Facial Toner and the Ananda Antioxidant Rich Gentle Toner are these exceptions for me.
Antipodes Ananda Antioxidant Rich Gentle Toner* (100ml for $30-£22) has quickly became my everyday hero. Created with the most sensitive skin owners in mind, it carries powers of New Zealand’s Waiwera water (balancing), raspberry extract (soothing and strengthening), as well as Bulgarian Rosewater (hydrating and firming). I can not imagine a skin type that wouldn’t want all these benefits.
I use the Ananda organic toner in some mornings as a cleanser instead of water. Or I just spray it on my bare face throughout the day on hot days to keep my skin hydrated and toned.
The Resurrect Clarifying Toner* (100ml for $26-£19) is made for those who like their toner to be more refreshing and firming. It has a scent of lavender, chamomile, and sage; however, the lavender is the most detectable. I most enjoy using this organic toner in the evenings as an extra step after removing my makeup. It gives that additional feeling of cleanliness and slight tingling on the skin without irritating it or turning it red.
Have you ever tried Antipodes organic face toners?
I haven’t tried this brand, but after your article, I really want to check it out! You are right – toners aren’t a wow product these days, but your description of the ingredients, especially the NZ Waiwera water has me intrigued! Thanks for sharing this new brand with us!
