Nothing makes a dark and gloomy day more survivable than good skincare, bonus points if it comes in a lovely packaging too! So speaking about beautiful packaging, have you seen these new skincare sets from Antipodes? I mean, wow! Beauty Icons, Healthier Skin Heroes, and this ridiculously cute Hydration Heroes sets honestly make my obsession with Antipodes deeper than ever. Each of them would make a fantastic gift for birthday or Christmas, but I guess you are already thinking the same thing.
Now, let’s see what’s inside the Hydration Heroes set:
– Hosanna H20 Intensive Skin Plumping Serum (10ml mini)
– Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream (15ml, mini)
– Baptise H2O Ultra-Hydrating Water Gel (60ml, full size)
So, one full-size item, plus two pretty generous mini sizes. Great I must say if this is your first time with Antipodes and you want to get to know the brand or are just curious to try more products from their range.
I have reviewed a fair share of Antipodes products on the blog in the past, one of them – Hosanna H20 Intensive Skin Plumping Serum. My friend recommended it to me, so I felt obliged to try it. Here’s a more detailed review, if you’re interested. There are many exceptionally good natural serums available, but this is one of the best. It’s maybe not that hydrating as it promises to be on the label, but it sure does make a world of difference to the skin. You can notice these changes fairly quickly, too – after a week or two after consistent use. The skin becomes visibly more even and healthy-looking.
Based on the description, I imagined the Baptise H2O Ultra-Hydrating Water Gel to feel like a splash of cold water – refreshing and cooling. This is exactly what happens when you apply it to your skin! First and foremost, I’m very impressed with its texture. It feels incredibly hydrating, cooling, and calming. Aaaand wait for it… there’s no heaviness! In fact, my skin swallows the gel-like product like a thirsty beast just in a couple of seconds without leaving any stickiness behind. Like with all Antipodes skincare, the ingredient list is fantastic, with manuka honey and naturally sourced hyaluronic acid as star warriors. All in all, if you have dehydrated skin, then this is a must-have for you.
Last skincare item in the set is Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream. It’s 15ml (half of what most face creams usually contain), so calling it a mini doesn’t justify its size. The Avocado Pear Night Cream is the opposite of the Baptise Water Gel and feels much more nourishing and, therefore, heavier. I say heavier because it takes some (gentle) skin rubbing and waiting for my skin to fully absorb it. The cream is formulated with manuka honey, avocado pear oil (I honestly thought it’s avocado AND pear, but it turns out avocado is called avocado pear… confusing!), and other rich oils. It’s a perfect night cream, especially for dry, dehydrated, or tired skin.
Well, that’s it for this Hydration Heroes set review. You can get the set online at LoveLula here for £36 (around $49). I didn’t see these sets anywhere else, except the UK, but if you’re from the US or any other country and can lay your hands on them, please do (LoveLula also ships internationally). I’m now contemplating the need for the Healthier Skin Heroes Set 💆🏼♀️
Until next time!
