Happy spring, beauties! Just look at these beautiful tulips! For me, it is always a joy to include flowers when I’m taking photos for the blog, but I was totally in love with this bunch. And it was a perfect match for Avril Beauty products, too!
I already reviewed a few of Avril products on the blog a while ago, and items in this post are the latest addition to my beauty stash. Avril Beaute is a French certified organic beauty brand, which aims to create not only natural and cruelty-free but also affordable beauty products for women. There are many skincare, body care, and makeup products in its range that has received lots of love and recognition from beauty bloggers, one of the products being Extreme Length Mascara. Here are my thoughts on these new goodies.
Avril Makeup Remover Milk (250ml)
A gentle and effective cleansing milk that removes makeup and cleanses impurities. Because of its mild, creamy consistency, this cleansing milk does not dry out the skin and is gentle enough even for sensitive skin types. It can be used to remove makeup with a cotton pad, but it can also be used as a face wash. Overall, it’s just a lovely product to have.
Available at Avril, Mondebio and other stockists for $8/£6.
Avril Compact Powder in Claire (7g)
If you’re looking for a good mattifying and oil-absorbent pressed powder, which is not too expensive, this compact powder will help you achieve that. What I really like about it is that it has silky consistency and gives easy application without drying out the skin. I know some people are trying to avoid products containing talk because of its pore-clogging concerns, so I want to mention that this compact powder does contain this ingredient.
The compact powder comes in six shades, the one I have is called Claire, which is the second lightest shade in the range, and matches my skin perfectly. The reason why I chose Claire is that I’ve tried Avril Liquid Foundation in Claire in the past, and the color was a perfect match for my skin tone, so I thought I won’t be wrong to go with the same shade. This compact powder gives light, almost translucent coverage, which is not enough for covering any redness or spots but is great for evening out the skin tone, settling, and prolonging makeup wear.
Avril Organic BB Cream (30ml)
I’m ready for spring, which means I’m about to make some changes in my makeup routine. And by changes, I mean choosing BB creams over liquid foundation. To be honest, I’m so grateful to someone who has invented BB creams, most of them are more fitting for dry skin than a regular foundation. Avril BB cream is an excellent product, which I like a lot for a few reasons: first of all, it has light and non-greasy texture, which also doesn’t feel cakey or drying. I would say it’s suitable for all skin types, except the extreme dry or oily. The second reason why I like this BB cream so much is its easy application. This BB cream has a perfect – not too thick, not too runny – consistency and goes on without streaks. Lastly, it gives the skin that natural, no makeup look.
However, I wish it would be much lighter in color since it’s too dark for my fair skin tone. I would say it’s more suitable for light to medium skin tones.
Both products are available at Mondebio, Avril Beaute or other stockists for approximately $9/£7.
Have you tried Avril Beaute?
Nice post! Shame the color of the BB cream is too dark! often struggle to find light colors as well…x
I understand the struggle! Madara moonflower rose is probably the only light organic bb cream I’ve found.
So far I’ve only tried a lip pencil and nail polish from this brand but I do really like those.
I saw your review 🙂 That lipstick pencil looks like a great product.
these sound so lovely! I’ve heard of this brand, but never tried them. thanks for sharing 🙂
I’m glad you liked the review, Tianna! I really think that Avril is a good example that natural and effective don’t always equal expensive 🙂
definitely! I love that more affordable brands are making an appearance and becoming more accessible to people on a budget. it’s so awesome 🙂
