Red lipstick is timeless. Although sometimes it takes courage to start wearing it, once you take the risk, it can quickly become one of your favorite makeup essentials. I’ve had Sante Lipstick in 08 Deep Red for quite a while now and, I must say, I like it a lot. Made with only natural and organic ingredients, including castor seed and jojoba oils, this lipstick is both protecting and moisturizing.
Sante Lipstick comes in an ordinary blue lipstick tube. The shade 08 Deep Red is a bright, classic red with a juicy finish. It has velvety hydrating consistency, and because it’s such a bright color that requires a perfect application, I would recommend using a lip pencil underneath or/and a lip brush.
Sometimes my lips get dry, so I always tend to apply a lip balm before applying any lipstick. I’ve tried Sante Lipstick with and without a lip balm and, as I thought, it felt a bit on the dry side without a lip balm to wear comfortable throughout the day. However, most lipsticks are too dry for my lips anyway so I wouldn’t blame this particular lippie. It stays on for about a few hours, and the good news is that after dinner you only need to reapply it if you want a brighter, shinier color. I noticed that during the day it dries out a bit towards matte.
