Although it’s technically still winter, I am already getting ready for spring time. I finished spring cleaning around my house and in my wardrobe. I know, it’s way too early for that. But I’m done with you, winter! And my skin is done with you, too.
If your skin gets dry in winter, then you know that the struggle is real. And it’s not only my face I’m talking about, but it’s also my body. My legs in winter can get as dry as a desert. The only thing that helps is using a scrub on a regular basis and tons of moisturizing body cream to keep the dryness under control.
I have been using Frank Body scrubs for almost four weeks. You can only see the Peppermint one in the photos because I’ve used up the other. I’m not usually this impatient, but I was beyond curious to find out what the fuss was all about. Frank Body has an enormous online following on Facebook and Instagram, and all the reviews I read were only raves so far!
Frank Body Scrub in Peppermint*
One of many things that I like a lot about Frank Body is its branding and customer approach. Not only its social media but also the product packaging shows how fun and lively the brand is. I love all comments and notes on the packaging such as “Watch out, babe” for patch testing or “only tested on babes” for showing the brand is serious about being cruelty-free. Little things, but super fun!
All Frank Body scrubs come in resealable bags. The outside of the bag is made of paper, and the inside is protected with leak-proof foil material. However, the Peppermint scrub leaked through the packaging a little, but no harm was done. As expected, both of these coffee scrubs have an intense (and divine) scent of coffee. Additionally, the Original one has citrus in it, and the Peppermint Scrub contains peppermint oil. Before I’ve tried these goodies, I read so many reviews about how messy it can be to use this scrub. It’s dry and loose, so it gets everywhere. It can be less messy if you use it in a bathtub, but it can get pretty hectic in the shower. That’s why I decided to change tactics and not use it straight from the packaging. Instead, I placed the needed amount in a bowl and, believe me, it was much easier to apply and was less messy. I also recommend to wash the scrub off VERY carefully. Otherwise, it will stain your towels.
If you have tried coffee + brown sugar scrubs, then you know how amazing the skin feels after. Add sweet almond oil and aloe vera juice, and you get a scrub with ultimate hydration power. These scrubs are more gentle than the ones I like to DIY at home, I guess it depends on the type of coffee grounds used or the technology, I don’t know. Would I repurchase these scrubs? Yes, absolutely.
Frank Body Scrubs goes for approximately $16.95/£14 for 200g and are available online here, here or here.
Frank Body Balm*
If you feel like your skin isn’t smooth enough and lacks hydration after using Frank Body scrubs, this balm is the next step. It’s a solid body balm with a lovely scent of coconut & chocolate. Now I can understand why all Frank Body products have a caution note “smell, don’t eat”!
It’s a rich and intensely moisturizing balm, so I am glad to have it at the end of winter when my skin is probably at its driest state. I recommend applying it only if your hands and body are warm to make the process of application quicker and easier (right after a bath or a shower works best). It takes a while for the balm to sink in, but it also makes the skin incredibly nourished, so I don’t mind the wait.
Frank Body Balm is available for $24.95/£20 for 100 ml. Get yours online here or here.

The balm is great, super nourishing 🙂
I find I’m very curious about Frank, because you’re right, they have such positive reviews and such a big social media following. I haven’t tried them yet because I love DIYing my scrubs, but I’ve got to give this a go! I didn’t know they made a balm, and it sounds lovely!
I envy you so much, since I’m mostly too lazy to DIY!
By the way, they also have facial moisturizers; however, I haven’t tried them.
I love coffee scrubs and always hear good things about this brand! Definitely want to try 🙂 thanks for sharing ♥
I happy you found this interesting! I love coffee scrubs too 🙂
How fun is the packaging of that body balm??
Right? My friend is re-using that paper tube to store pencils for her kid! How awesome is that 🙂
Nice product, funny packaging, smell is awesome – that’s why I like it. Real Australian organic scrub! Did somebody see it in the United States stores??? Becouse I always order it from Australia!
I’m all about a great scrub.
