I’ve seen a bunch of beauty tags going around Instagram (let’s become friends there!). Two of my recent favorites are #naturallipstash and #blushfordays because it is always exciting to peek at what products other beauty bloggers use for their makeup routines. Also, it’s an excellent way to find new interesting people to follow. However, instead of participating in these tags on Instagram, I thought it would be fun to combine them and write a post on the blog. So here they are, my current essential lip & cheek products.
Even from the first glance, it’s pretty obvious that pink is my go-to color for blushes and lip glosses. It suits my light, cool skin tone the most, so I can’t help it, really. Fuschia also goes perfectly well with skin tones like mine, that’s why there’s Benecos blush in my stash. At the moment, my collection of natural lip products is very minimal and contains only lip balms and lip glosses. Some of these products, like Cate McNabb in Wednesday Pink and Tata Harper Be True, are almost finished. I would definitely repurchase both of them. Another product, which deserves attention is MarieNatie Special Edition lip gloss in Tickled. Because of its creamy consistency, it is something between a lip gloss and a balm. Tickled is a very natural color and looks more nude than pink. I don’t use it on chapped lips and have to use a lip balm before application with this gloss, but I still like it a lot.
Blushes add that something extra to the makeup and make it look fresh. That’s why I try not to skip it even for my everyday makeup routine. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, then you probably know that my all-time favorite everyday blush is Delizioso cream blush in Outrageous. It’s versatile, doesn’t look cakey, the color is very neutral, I could go on and on about it. My other favorite is Benecos in Mallow Rose – a beautiful, affordable highly pigmented blush in cool toned/neutral pink, tending towards fuschia. Last product that I want to mention is Dr. Hauschka’s Limited Edition Trio Blush. I use this one for special occasions because it’s super pigmented, so I find it too intense for everyday use. The trio blush also contains a bronzer, which I was excited about at first, but it proved to be a bit useless over time.
Do you see any of your favorites in this post?
I’ve been wanting to try the Delizioso Crea Blush, my only fear is that the coconut oil in it might cause my acnegenic skin to react.
In love with Tata Harper 🙂
