I’m a basic t-shirts and jeans kind of girl. Fashion just never interested me, so this is the reason why I own way fewer clothes than an average person. Also, I’m one of those who buy multiples of the same clothing piece, if I find the one I like (most of the time, even in the same color). Kind of weird if you think about it! But this habit does save me a lot of time and leaves me feeling happy about each of my clothes. Underwear is no exception!
Anyway, after this short confession about my weird shopping habits, I’m so excited to share about the newest additions to my small underwear collection, from the brand Organic Basics*. I know that some of you (especially those interested in slow fashion) are already familiar with this amazing eco-friendly clothing/underwear brand. And for those who hear about it for the first time, Organic Basics is a brand that’s:
• ethical (GOTS certified, which means all processes and final products are regulated to the highest organic and fair workplace standards);
• organic (No pesticides, no chemical fertilizer, and no modified cotton seeds are used in production);
• sustainable (made from high-quality plant fiber or recycled materials).
Sounds absolutely lovely, doesn’t it?
The TENCEL Lite undies that I now own are made from Tencel Lyocell, which is an eco-friendly, environmentally-friendly fabric made from wood. It’s also very breathable, super comfortable, and soft as a cloud – I swear!
The color I have is Dusty Rose. I thought about getting black or white since these are the wardrobe colors I prefer, but the dusty rose just silently whispered my name, and who am I to turn down such a gorgeous shade of pale dark rose underwear!! Apart from Dusty Rose, there are 6 other shades to choose from.The sizing. This is always the trickiest part, do you agree? All the numbers and letters would make sense if the underwear fit according to those numbers and letters! Well, Organic Basics has a different sizing system, much like sports underwear, with sizes starting with XS and going all the way to XL. They offer detailed charts with accurate measurements, so make sure you study those carefully before ordering.

For reference, my height is 5.5″ (165cm), weight 114lbs (51kg)
bust 34 1/2″ (87cm)
underband 36″ (77cm)
waist 27″ (68.5cm)
hips 35 1/2″ (90cm)

The Tencel Lite Bralette I have is in size S and a perfect match for me (I usually wear 34B). It fits nicely, and I’d even have more room if needed since I’m on the first (tightest) hook. The bralette feels lightweight and thin but durable. The fabric is extremely soft! LOVE IT!
Tencel Lite Briefs come in a 2-pack. I was a bit confused about the sizing when choosing them because according to the size guide, my hips are size XS, and my waist is size S. After long and hard consideration, I went for a bigger size, and they fit like a dream! Not too big, just perfect.
Overall, I’m absolutely in love with Organic Basics products, their quality, and the brand ethos 💜
The Tencel Lite Bralette retails for $60 and Tencel Lite Briefs 2-Pack for $55.
