It’s been a while since I’ve tried Green People skincare, so I was super excited to find this Hydrating Calming Serum in the LoveLula November Beauty Box*. I’m all about minimal, aesthetic product design, and Green People packaging is exactly that. I’ve heard they released a new range of skincare called Nordic Roots, filled with active ingredients most commonly used in Nordic skincare, but I’m yet to try it out.
The Hydrating Calming Serum is absolutely scent-free, so it’s perfectly suitable for even the most sensitive skin. Its consistency is extremely watery, which I love because it’s easy to distribute evenly. The serum gets absorbed by the skin instantly; however, I notice some flaking later. Apparently, the serum creates a thin layer on the skin, which starts to peel off after some time. I’ve tried applying less serum, but the result is always the same, so this is definitely a downside for me. However, I read that the formula is really concentrated, so maybe that’s why the texture is like that.
The serum is filled with calming ingredients (such as organic chamomile, everlasting flower, and marshmallow extracts) and with moisture-binding and regenerating ingredients (aloe vera, tara bush, and marine algae). You should not expect to feel a boost of moisture from this serum right away, although, as I mentioned before, it does have a pleasant watery texture. But serums will do their silent work if you use them for a lengthy amount of time. So the goal is to use them consistently, so they would regenerate and stimulate collagen production over time.
Green People Hydrating Calming Serum is available at Green People, LoveLula, or any other stockist near you for $30/£21 for 50ml.
