Let’s talk about natural mascara. There are many of them available nowadays, so how do you know which one works? Which one would give you those lush, defined lashes? You just don’t know, so chances are, you choose a well-known brand in hopes the product turns out to be great. I’ve been eyeing this Juice Beauty Phyto Pigments Ultra Natural Mascara for some time, so when I finally laid my hands on its sample, I had big expectations.
The Ultra Natural Mascara comes in a sleek metallic full-size tube; however, I have a sample here, which is a small black tube. The mascara has a medium-sized wand with short, sparse bristles that, unfortunately, keep staining my eyelids each time I use it, no matter how careful I am.
It is a volumizing mascara that promises a feathery-soft look after every coat. The formula was designed to minimize smudging and flaking. It’s pretty buildable and doesn’t clump that much after applying multiple coats. The recommendation is that you apply one coat for a natural look and two [or more] for a more intense look. Below are the results after three layers with no additional use of lash curler or anything else. Mind me, my lashes are pretty straight; they are also light and not very voluminous, but to be honest, they can look better than this mascara makes them look. Unfortunately, I don’t see any volume, only color.
What I like is that it’s really clump-free; even when it gets thicker with use, it’s still doesn’t come to the point where it would get too cakey like some other mascaras do. But did I fall in love with this mascara? Unfortunately, not.
Juice Beauty Ultra Natural Mascara retails at $24 and can be found at Juice Beauty’s official website.
