These past few months were generous in terms of organic beauty empties. Like most times, it’s mainly skincare, but some hair and body items are in the mix. So, let’s begin:
Because I use face exfoliators so rarely, this Madara Exfoliating Oil To Milk Scrub took me ages to finish. I really liked its unusual, light gel texture, and it did the job of exfoliating the skin very well. I did not experience any redness or irritation from this exfoliator; however, its pellets were a bit too big for my liking.
Gallinee Body Milk for dry, atopic skin also took me a long time to empty. But this is almost always the case for me with all body care products. I absolutely loved the texture and hydration it gives to dry skin; however, it probably should have a less intense scent as a product created for atopic skin.
I had high hopes for this French-made Novexpert Repulp Natural Hyaluronic Cream. It was OK – nice texture, scent, and all – but it did not deliver any results in terms of moisture, radiance, or any other benefits that I’d have liked.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask is an excellent hair mask! I mean, it’s everything a mask should be. It detangles, moisturizes, and gives shine without weighing the hair down. I noticed that it makes the hair visibly straighter. I don’t even need to apply additional leave-in products to soften and fight frizz after I’ve used this mask. I am definitely repurchasing it in the largest size possible.
As much as I like Dr. Hauschka’s skincare, this Dr. Hauschka Soothing Cleansing Milk isn’t something I’ll be returning to. I’m not a fan of cleansing milk in general; they usually feel too greasy for my liking. This one felt a bit too greasy as well, and also require too much work in general. Though I know a few of my friends that absolutely prefer cleansing milk over other types of cleanser.
Despite its sweet vanilla scent, which might not be for everyone’s taste, this Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant is a deodorant that is worth a try. It’s a bit less effective in keeping my body odor at bay than Lavanila Sport Deodorant. Still, I find it better than most other natural deodorants. I noticed that if I don’t forget to reapply it a couple of times more during the day, it does its job wonderfully. Would I be repurchasing it again? Probably yes, but in a different scent.
Caudalie Vinosource SOS Serum: I’m always torn about using Caudalie products because they deliver such great results, but their ingredient lists aren’t that clean. This SOS Serum has a pleasant milky consistency and some weird cucumbery scent [which I strangely found very refreshing] and is highly hydrating, skin softening, and, overall, lovely.
Because it’s more suitable for combination/oily skin type [and mine is leaning towards dry], the Antipodes Rejoice Cream went to my husband’s skincare stash. It stayed there until, almost a year later, he managed to empty the tube, because he kept forgetting that he even had it. He said the cream feels a bit heavy upon application, but it sinks in quickly without leaving any residue. He would gladly have me repurchase it for the colder season.
Have you tried any of these items? Any favorites of yours?
Very interesting products, I haven’t had a chance to use any of them yet.
