I’ve been making some effort to keep my beauty stash under control and only add new products when I need a replacement. Here are the five newbies I chose to add to my beauty routine this month:
Dr. Hauschka Bronzing Powder – this is a replacement for the same bronzing powder, which was (almost) used up and way past its expiration date. I decided to go with this bronzer again for two reasons: it has neutral undertones, and it’s perfect for light skin tones.
Little Barn Apothecary Aloe + Rosewater Balancing Water – I haven’t used a toner for a few months, and I’m not proud. I know it’s an important step. Also, the right toner makes the skin feel lovely. But since my skincare routine was a bit chaotic these past few months anyway, I just didn’t bother myself. However, I missed using one (yes, it feels as weird as it sounds), and I had this cute small bottle of Balancing Water still unopened, waiting for me. I’ve only used it a couple of times, but it feels good on my skin, and the scent is incredibly soothing.
Sukin Certified Organic Rosehip Oil – another item that I repurchased in its place. I have a couple of other oils, so I could probably skip this one for now, but I can not imagine my skincare routine without a good organic rosehip oil in it.
Odacite Black Mint Cleanser – this sample of deep cleansing and cooling gel face wash with charcoal and mint took place in my bathroom instead of my almost empty NOVEXPERT Vitamin C Express Radiant Cleansing Foam. I am not sure if I’d want to use this face wash daily since my skin is too sensitive for such an intense cleanser. However, it does an incredible job at cleaning makeup and other impurities. I think acne-prone, oily and combination skin would love this, especially in warmer weather. My only complaint is that it leaves a black mess after use.
Eye Of Horus Brow Define Pencil – my lovely Zuii Brow Pencil completely dried up (at least, what’s left of it anyway) a few months ago. Me, wanting to use up what I already have in my makeup bag, turned to this Dr. Hauschka Eye Palette. It was OK, but I longed for a brow pencil. I still had this unopened Eye Of Horus Brow Define Pencil waiting for its turn after I finish the palette, but being too curious, I just gave in and opened it. What a good product! The shade Husk is the lightest shade in the range (there are three shades to choose from), which is a light ash brown. It’s softer and much more precise than other pencils I’ve tried. So far, very impressed!
What are your recent beauty repurchases?
The Dr Hauschka bronzer looks really nice! When I’ve used up my current one, will check it out! x
Which one are you currently using? 🙂
That Rose Water toner looks amazing!!! Honestly, I’m of the opinion that if you have a good cleanser that is pH balanced, you can get by without the toning step. I do, however, love to add extra moisture to my hyaluronic serum throughout the day.
These are incredible. Really good choice on toner and oil too. When I launched our organic skincare brand my aim was to get rid of all the emulsifiers and preservatives you find in most natural products and especially creams. Kudos to you for opting oils instead!
