Without a doubt, Rahua is one of the most coveted natural haircare brands, and it’s easy to see why. All of their products, including the ones in this Jet Setter Kit, contain exotic ingredients, such as rahua and quinoa, sourced from the Amazon rainforest as well as other organic plant extracts and oils. Rahua Jet Setter Kit* comes in a cute paper box with 4 travel size (60ml each) bottles of Rahua Classic Shampoo, Rahua Classic Conditioner, Rahua Voluminous Shampoo, and Rahua Voluminous Conditioner. It promises to naturally cleanse, condition, and give you the healthy and shiny hair you want. Sounds like a dream come true, right? Let’s see if all of these promises were true.
My first picks were the Voluminous Shampoo & Conditioner. I picked these first just because they have countless positive ratings and reviews from people that already tried them. Turns out, I have to agree with every one of them. The Voluminous Shampoo is AMAZING! First of all, the scent is fantastic – subtle, yet fresh and awakening. The shampoo did a good job on making my hair clean, healthy, and shiny with a lot of bounce. Though it did not give much volume, it didn’t leave my roots flat either. One thing that definitely made this shampoo to stand out from many other volumizing shampoos (natural or not) is that it noticeably changed the texture of my hair right from the first use. I can’t even begin to describe how full, strong and lively it felt. So if you struggle with dull, thin, and frizzy hair, this shampoo might be a real game-changer. Speaking about the Voluminous Conditioner, I was a bit worried that it will be too light for my dry and frizzy strands, but it turned out to be excellent. After keeping it for 3 minutes and rinsing it out, my hair was nourished, smooth and strikingly shiny without feeling weighed down. There’s an option to use this conditioner as a leave-in styling cream, which also works great! The 60 ml sample of the Voluminous shampoo lasted me 3 times, the Voluminous Conditioner – 4 times for medium length hair.
Two other products that I’ve tried from the Jet Setter Kit were the Classic Shampoo & Conditioner. The pair has a gentle herbal scent from the palo-santo plant, also called a “holy wood”, which is Rahua’s signature scent. The Classic Shampoo left my hair clean, soft and extra shiny, but it foamed far less comparing to the Voluminous Shampoo, so I ended up using more product. Also, my roots got flat the next day, so, even though it seemed lovely, apparently it isn’t suitable for my hair. The Classic Conditioner, however, highly impressed me. It was way thicker and noticeably more intense than the Voluminous Conditioner, so I could almost hear my hair screaming from pleasure when using it. It left the hair nourished, glossy, and frizz-free. It also works well as a leave-in/styling cream but if you have thin hair, you might want to use only a pea size amount because too much of it might weigh the hair down. The 60 ml sample of the Classic Shampoo was gone in 2 washes, the Classic Conditioner lasted me 5 times.
Rahua Jet Setter Kit is available online at Love Lula for £29 (UK/worldwide with free international delivery) and Rahua (US only) for $34. You can also buy these samples individually.
Have you tried Rahua hair care products?
Nice review! I have been really tempted to try this brand. Although foam is not linked to shampoo efficacy, I still like one that foams really well. I guess I sld better pick the Voluminous shampoo. x
Thank you, lovely! The Voluminous shampoo is probably my favorite from this bunch.
How easily does it rinse out? I find some natural shampoos/conditioners can take foreverrrr to rinse or I wind up with residue once my hair dries.
Both of the shampoos rinse out very easily.
Thanks Inga.
I heard just like you so many positive reviews and I really want to give it a try but it is so expensive! And I am ”afraid” that I have thrown away my money if it does not work. Does it leaves your hair soft when you were washing your hair? I have found one very soft shampoo and that is from Unique and when a shampoo is totally not soft when I am washing my hair it leaves me very disappointed hehe.
I totally get where you’re coming from! It’s always a lottery with natural shampoos. The Classic Shampoo left my hair pretty soft and bouncy, but it might not be enough to use it alone. It was the conditioner that made my hair nourished and frizz-free.
You can also take a look at John Masters Organics shampoos such as Zinc & Sage or Evening Primrose.
